UK insurer Aviva has selected Guidewire as its new claims management platform for its personal lines of business, the company announced today.

Guidewire’s ClaimCenter will allow Aviva to increase data insight, automate routine processes and enable faster deployment in the coming months, according to the software provider.

“Claims handling can be a significant differentiator for a profitable business,” said Rob Townend, claims director at Aviva UK, in a statement. “Moving to a single platform with Guidewire’s core processing product, ClaimCenter, is a worthwhile investment decision that will underpin more flexibility and innovation for Aviva.”

Nicholas Rhatigan, Aviva’s claims business lead added, “Supporting our customer has been at the forefront of our technology choice. Whether it is for our commercial or personal business, a simplified, single customer journey from a single handling system is our philosophy.”
