Prior to this announcement, Livermore served as EVP, business operations for BCBSF.
Livermore joined BCBSF in January 2000 with the responsibility to direct capability development. In April of that year, he assumed the role of enterprise CIO for all business sectors of BCBSF, including accountability for all information technology strategies, architectures and governance. In 2003, he was given leadership responsibility for the Health Business Service Organization, in addition to his information technology duties. In 2006, he was named EVP, business operations, overseeing marketing, sales, delivery systems, information technology and service.
