Blue Cod Helps Establish Rockingham Auto Lines

Rockingham Group has migrated the process of quoting personal auto lines of business in Pennsylvania and Virginia to a new, more advanced platform, according to Marlborough, Mass.-based Blue Cod Technologies Inc. and Rockingham Group of Harrisonburg, Va.

Using Blue Cod’s Gatewise Portal, the Rockingham Group put Pennsylvania Auto into production in March 2010, and Virginia in August, providing accurate online quotes using the same rating engine as Rockingham’s policy administration system, says Blue Cod. Connections are established through Lexis Nexis http://www.lexisnexis.com, designed to generate report details including a credit score, CLUE loss information, MVR, and Data Prefill, which gives vehicle and driver information.

“Blue Cod … played a role in helping us to deliver the project in Q1 by creating web services to LexisNexis and programming the application PDF,” says Karen Bowman, Rockingham’s information systems manager.
