California Casualty Upgrades to ActiveBatch 7.0

California Casualty, a San Mateo-based home and auto insurer, announced it has upgraded to the Advanced Systems Concepts Inc. (ASCI) ActiveBatch Workload Automation and Job Scheduling version 7.0.

ActiveBatch is designed to work with a variety of operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, z/OS and OpenVMS. ASCI said the product can automate and centrally manage jobs and workflows across applications, technologies, computing platforms and databases, contains a job library designed to create workflows involving templates, calendars and services, and can run jobs “as frequently as every 10 to 15 minutes.

The latest version of ActiveBatch includes service-oriented architecture and Web service tools.
