Celent, a financial services research and consulting firm, has hired Luis Chipana as an analyst, expanding coverage of business and IT strategy in Latin America. Celent is a member of the Oliver Wyman Group, a part of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Chipana has joined the team on a part-time basis as he completes his MBA studies. He will join Celent fulltime at the end of 2013.
Celent says Chipana’s career spans more than 16 years working in banking and insurance companies. His background includes IT, project management, and operational roles in Pacifico Seguros, MIBANCO and Banco de Credito (BCP).
Prior to joining Celent, Chipana was responsible for business and IT projects at Rimac Seguros in Peru. He brings experience in risk, credit card, operations, claims, continuous improvement, business process management, and projects, Celent adds.
