Commercial insurer Continental Western Group has piloted drone technology and analytics from Fluttrbox, according to a release from the company.
Fluttrbox provides a network of drone operators and data management for insurers who want to use the technology to assist in underwriting and claims. The vendor uses its network to gather and analyze data based on standards set by client insurers.
“Part of the attraction of a drone program for CWG was the possibility of a reduction in loss adjustment expenses and an increase in underwriting accuracy,” said Doug Pearson, senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for CWG.
