Crawford & Company, an independent provider of claims management solutions to the risk management and insurance industry as well as self-insured entities, has announced that it has named Dan Daniel VP of Catastrophe Services for its U.S. Property & Casualty unit. He brings more than 20 years of senior claims experience to his position, and reports to David Repinski, CEO, U.S. Property & Casualty, according to Crawford, which is based in Atlanta and serves clients in more than 70 countries.

"During his career Dan has successfully advanced through local, regional and national claims management positions, and is a terrific fit with Crawford and its Catastrophe Services," Repinski said in a prepared statement. "We are confident that he will be a highly successful leader at both the U.S. and Americas levels."

As an executive in Crawford’s executive team, Daniel will work on the strategic growth and service delivery associated with natural and man-made catastrophes, along with leading several key current client relationships. He will also be responsible for helping to manage Crawford's catastrophe response for all of the Americas region, including Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. Daniel will be based in the Atlanta area.

Daniel's loss adjusting experience includes serving as a catastrophe adjuster, branch adjuster, branch manager, regional manager and senior vice president of centralized services, which included overseeing catastrophe services.
