CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, has deployed Guidewire’s ClaimCenter to manage its claims operations for all lines of business. The insurer uses Exigen PolicyCore and BillingCore as the rest of its core systems suite.


ClaimCenter is intended to help CSAA consolidate multiple systems that were attained through acquisitions, and enable a simple, personal and proactive, customer-centric claims experience to its customers, Guidwire said.

“The broad deployment of ClaimCenter is the culmination of many people's contributions,” said Joe Tonkovich, general manager and business program owner, Claims, CSAA Insurance Group, in a statement. “This implementation provides an opportunity to further improve our claims technology services.”

CSAA also seeks to enhance operational efficiencies and product growth, support business processes in a cost effective manner and establish a foundation that can be leveraged for quick product changes, Guidewire said.

A pilot began in October 2012 for glass claim handling, and the design, development and implementation included several internal and external integrations and included the conversion of open and closed claims to enable the business to work solely on ClaimCenter, which enabled the decommissioning of multiple legacy platforms.
