Erie Insurance, a multi-line insurance company, will use Agency Link as the internal corporate front-end for its P&C policy administration system. Agency Link is a CSC product designed to enable quicker response times and better service when handling complex customer service inquiries, as well as new business and policy management transactions, in real time via the Web, according to CSC.
Erie uses CSC’s Series II to manage policy administration for its P&C lines of business and has been taking advantage of product enhancements, including straight-through processing, XML adapters and 24-7 availability. CSC claims that by choosing a strategy to leverage its current systems, Erie is able to improve the pace of the business benefits resulting from these enhancements, while avoiding the expense of a full system replacement.
