"IPipeline streamlined the policy delivery process to eliminate errors and automate sales distribution,” said Timothy Wallace, CEO of iPipeline. “DocuSign provides a fast, safe and secure e-signing tool to complete the final stretch of the e-Policy process. Adding DocuSign to our interactive e-Policy Solution offers carriers, distributors and producers a rich, easy-to-use tool that will simplify the workflow process and allow the consumer to easily sign electronically."
According to the companies, carriers can access the e-Policy Solution with DocuSign through iPipeline’s network, drag-and-drop yellow “sign here” tabs onto a document, and then electronically send the document to the consumer. An e-mail notifies the consumer that the document requires an e-Signature. The consumer then adopts an e-Signature, signs the document, and an e-mail notification is sent to the carrier with a link to the signed document.
The beta version is slated to launch July 1. DocuSign and iPipeline say that more than a dozen carriers already have been contracted to implement the program.
