NEW REDACTION SOLUTION
Redact-It Desktop 1.1, from Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Informative Graphics Corp., removes sensitive content and privacy information, such as social security numbers, names and phone numbers, before making documents available.
The software is designed to reduce the time it takes to redact, review and release documents for public access, eDiscovery and other processes. By applying redaction capabilities to Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, and using OCR (optical character recognition), Redact-It Desktop 1.1 can process and convert documents, PDFs and TIFFs into text-searchable files.
According to Informative Graphics, Redact-It Desktop is the first desktop application using pattern recognition to find and redact information within a document. It includes many built-in macros to redact privacy information.
MESSAGING WORKFLOW TOOL
Toronto-based Prinova Technologies Inc., provider of document design, development and delivery solutions, released messagepoint 2.0. A multi-channel software solution for streamlining the messaging workflow, users can plan, create, target, approve, deliver, and track campaigns and messages through a single Web-based product. The company says the product enables business users to deliver message content through different touchpoints and channels.
Prinova says the solution is aimed at industries that need to create and deliver large volumes of personalized business documents through multiple channels. New features in this version include the ability to import large volumes of message data from legacy systems or documents in bulk, and an updated user interface.
