Erado Releases Web Archiving Program

Erado, an electronic communications compliance company, has released a web archiving platform. Web archiving is the process of collecting selections of website data to ensure the information is preserved in an archive for future reference, related to regulatory, legal or company historical purposes. It may be important for companies in highly regulated industries to be able to provide evidence of content viewed on a specific website on a particular date, Erado said.

Erado said enforceable retention procedures are required for compliance with these regulations. Archived content must be archived in a tamper-proof environment and must be date and time stamped, serialized and safeguarded against deletion. A searchable index of all stored data must be maintained. Indexes must be retained on each unit of storage media for the messages and attachments stored on that unit, Erado said.

Erado’s added that features of the new platform include the capture and protection of an accounting firm’s story as it was created and revised through time; and the archiving of each website page in its original look and feel.
