Everest Insurance Hires Former AIG Vet as Chief Administration Officer

Everest Insurance has appointed Bill Thygeson as chief administration officer, a position in which he will oversee the company’s technological endeavors for underwriting and claims, among other duties.

Thygeson comes to Everest by way of Hamilton Insurance, where he served as chief operating officer for 18 months. Prior to Hamilton, Thygeson spent a decade as senior vice president at AIG. He brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, strategic planning and operating management to the insurer, which launched several new business lines in 2015 that Thygeson will help grow, according to Everest President Jonathan Zaffino.

“As we continue to expand our insurance operations, in both size and complexity, we need to ensure that our operational infrastructure keeps pace with the trajectory of our underwriting portfolio,” said Zaffino, in a press release. “Bill’s background is uniquely qualified to lead our operational transformation initiatives focused on building best-in-class support capabilities for our growing business.”
