Facebook Plugin Released for Agents

Insurance agency online marketing provider Insurance Website Builder (IWB) is partnering with Insurance Technologies Corp. (ITC) to add a Facebook social media plugin to its offering. The Facebook social media plugin installs a mini version of an insurance agency’s main website on Facebook, including blogs, employee directory, locations and quote forms.

“Keeping up with all of the social media accounts can be cumbersome and time consuming for busy agents,” said Laird Rixford, vice president of product development. “The Facebook social media plugin makes it easy for agents to keep their customers updated with a Facebook-friendly version of their website. Customers can now even request a quote directly from their agent’s Facebook page.”

This newest feature of IWB is designed to allow agents to maintain their website and Facebook presence from one location. The Facebook social media plugin is dynamic, so when a change is made to an IWB website, the Facebook site is automatically updated with the new content. All content and forms are pulled directly from an agency’s main IWB website. This includes request-a-quote and customer service forms, lines of business pages, blogs with Facebook commenting, FAQs, employee directories, office locations and contact forms.

An agency can design the plugin to match the look and feel of their brand while maintaining the overall design elements recognized by Facebook visitors.

“In addition to the website integration, the Facebook plugin directly interfaces with AgencyBuzz to offer automated email and drip marketing to a customer’s prospects.” Rixford continued. “This combination provides agents with an all-inclusive prospect marketing system to collect information and promote their agencies to visitors that engage with their properties.”

This new feature is included at no charge in IWB’s Gold and Platinum plans. To complement the Facebook plug-in, IWB automatically updates an agency’s Twitter and LinkedIn profiles whenever a site is changed or a blog post added.
