“The University of Farmers has seen measurable results from its training of claims employees, and Mike Cuffe has led this effort,” says Hopkins. "He will oversee the training of new and veteran claims representatives at the University of Farmers, the certification and career development of supervisors and managers, and the development and implementation of the new 'Connections' customer service programs.”
Cuffe joined Farmers from J.D. Power and Associates in 2005. He ran the firm’s worldwide training organization for nine years. Previously, he held senior educational positions with Schneider Electric and Square D Electric.
In addition to his corporate experience, Cuffe taught at Illinois State University, the University of Minnesota and St. Catherine’s College. As assistant VP of claims training and development at Farmers, Cuffe led the re-engineering of the personal lines claims curricula and developed leadership claims-management programs.
