Farmers Insurance, a multi-line insurer group, has named Patrizio Spagnoletto to be the company's head of digital strategy. In this position, Spagnoletto will be responsible for defining and executing on an enterprise-wide digital strategy and will oversee all consumer-facing web capabilities, including mobile.

Farmers says Spagnoletto brings 18 years of experience in marketing, management and digital strategy. He was most recently VP of global marketing services for Yahoo. In that role, he managed all marketing channels for the company including media buying, social and CRM.

Prior to his 13-year career with Yahoo, he worked in various marketing roles for; Nestle Beverage Co.; and Parmalat USA, says Farmers.
