FCCI Insurance Names Johnson President & CEO

FCCI Insurance Group (FCCI), a provider of commercial property/casualty insurance to more than 17,000 policyholders in 14 states, today announced that Craig Johnson will become its new president & CEO. He will succeed G.W. Jacobs, who retires on May 31. The pair will work together over the next few months to ensure an orderly transition.

Johnson joined FCCI as VP and controller in 2003, and was appointed EVP, CFO and treasurer in 2006. Prior to joining FCCI, he worked in the insurance industry and held other executive positions, including CFO.

"Craig has demonstrated excellent leadership abilities, and has an abundance of experience in the insurance industry," says John Stafford, FCCI's chairman of the board of directors. "He is committed to the FCCI model, which emphasizes empowering its employees to maximize customer satisfaction."

Jacobs is retiring after 22 years of service, including the last 12 as president. Throughout Jacobs' tenure, FCCI underwent significant geographic and product expansion. When Jacobs retires, he will continue to be an FCCI board member and offer his experience and counsel to the management team.
