Fireman’s Fund Appoints Two

Novato, Calif. — Property/casualty insurance executive Darryl Page was appointed president for the Personal Insurance division of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., announced Mike LaRocco, president and CEO.

Page joins Fireman’s Fund from Allstate Insurance Co., where he has 27 years of insurance experience, including roles in underwriting, sales and operations, and also in working directly with independent agents in several regions throughout the United States. He most recently served as VP, western market operating committee.

In addition, Greg Meyer was appointed SVP, product management, for the Personal Insurance division of Fireman’s Fund. Meyer joins Fireman’s Fund from Zurich Insurance, where he served as SVP overseeing small business and commercial automobile programs. Prior to Zurich, Meyer worked for Allstate for eight years, most recently as VP of independent agency business. He also spent seven years at The Progressive Corp. in a variety of product management roles.

Page and Meyer will provide new leadership to the company’s Personal Insurance division, a $1.2-billion unit that serves affluent and high-net-worth customers, positioning the business for new growth.

“Darryl and Greg are high-caliber industry leaders, and their considerable expertise and skills will help us achieve our goals as we seek to grow profitably in the coming years,” said LaRocco.
