FirstBest Upgrades Front Office Suite

FirstBest Systems Inc., a provider of insurance software solutions for insurance carriers, has upgraded its FirstBest Front Office Suite’s underwriting workstation, agent portal and upload applications. The applications now enable account-based underwriting for multi-line insurers and mono-line insurers selling multiple policies for a single risk.

Using the new underwriting software, insurers can manage underwriting processes across an insured account, providing an enterprise-wide view of the insured and enabling multi-line quoting so that underwriters can make faster, more informed decisions, according to FirstBest.

The suite’s account management features provide a single current and historical view of the insured’s account across the enterprise, lines of business and policy systems. New features include an account home page that provides a unified view; an account summary that reduces rekeying; an account clearance that enables better decision-making; and shared underwriting worksheets, third-party reports and attachments that ensure everyone has the right information.

New account collaboration and workflow features enable insurers to coordinate all account activity and monitor quality across the business in real time. Features include account collaboration that leverages all available resources; task-oriented workflow that keeps the underwriting process moving; and task management that ensures timeliness.

Multi-line quoting capability helps insurers deliver faster and better service to agents and brokers. With version 4.0, individual quotes for different lines can be combined into a single proposal.
