Fresh Source of Information Management Launched

Reflecting the modern challenges of the information age, New York-based publishing firm SourceMedia announced it is retiring its brand, DM Review—the long-standing data management magazine and sister publication of Insurance Networking News—and is replacing it with a new offering.

MSNBC reports that the new publication, Information Management, will become a flagship property of SourceMedia's Business Technology & Securities (BT&S) division, which includes Insurance Networking News, Health Data Management, Securities Industry News, Traders Magazine, content and case studies.

Developed for the IT and business decision-maker, Information Management is the result of the thorough work of editors, external consultants and other professionals across SourceMedia. Hundreds of DM Review readers responded to surveys, and helped provide the impetus and direction for the new brand.

"Information management has become the best overarching term to describe the gathering, managing, disseminating, leveraging and disposing of information assets within an organization," says Jim Ericson, editorial director of Information Management. "The topics that fall into this represent the very topics our readers are increasingly drawn to and aware of."

The focus of the publication’s circulation also has changed to include more technology management titles, which helps transition DM Review to Information Management in a way that broadens the brand’s scope.

Information Management will ship to subscribers on February 5th. The re-branded www.info-mgmt.com—scheduled to go live in the coming days—has a friendlier user-interface and expanded features, says Ericson.
