The a la carte package, called ConsumerEdge, is made up of multiple products and consultative services that address online marketing requirements as health insurance carriers meet the need of the growing individual market segment.
ConsumerEdge products include reporting and analytics tools as well as Plan Advisor, an interactive, dynamic plan selection tool that educates consumers about different health insurance plan options and makes plan suggestions based on the consumers' needs and preferences. Other products include a mobile broker application, which allows brokers to quote plans from their mobile devices, and electronic signature pad technology, which brings the point of purchase to the consumer and delivers legally binding e-signatures with electronic applications.
"Technology is imperative as the health insurance market changes," says Dan Maynard, president and CEO of Connecture. "The products and services offered in ConsumerEdge not only help carriers succeed in today's individual market, but they also perfectly position carriers to succeed in a post-reform environment."
PRODUCER LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT TOOL
Sircon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bothell, Wash.-based Vertafore Inc., released the latest version ofits Sircon for Carriers Platform for producer lifecycle management and compliance.
Sircon says the new version will have more capabilities to help manage producer relationships and credentialing needs and will enable bulk appointing, terminating and business data updates for an entire set of producers.
Appointment requests can now be processed for an entire set of producers from a simple spreadsheet upload with minimal effort. This is especially helpful to a carrier when new agencies are brought onboard, as the enhancement will eliminate processing appointments one at a time, the company says.
As part of this new service, basic producer data such as addresses and licenses can also be created or verified from the Producer Database (PDB). Non-regulatory business data updates including addresses, external system identifications, and other business unit information can also be part of this process.
In addition, appointment termination requests can also be processed for an entire set of producers with a simple spreadsheet upload. This new enhancement will support the appointment renewal process. As part of this bulk termination process, PDB reconciliation will also occur to ensure producer data accuracy and appropriate compliance.
