GEICO Uses Windows Phone 7 to Connect With Customers, Employees

Auto insurance provider GEICO is using Windows Phone 7 to connect with its customers. GEICO now supports Windows Phone 7 as a corporate smartphone for its employees, and has created a Windows Phone 7 application called “GEICO GloveBox,” which allows customers to pay bills, obtain policy ID information, and receive help in tough situations such as changing a flat tire, says the insurer.

GEICO says customers who download the GEICO GloveBox app will have immediate access to bill pay and insurance ID cards, Accident Helper, roadside service, taxi and rental car service, Auto How To's, Contact GEICO, videos, and social media.

GEICO also supports Windows Phone 7 as a corporate phone, which offers seamless interoperability of Microsoft Office to help the company's 24,000 employees stay connected.

GEICO says the GloveBox application for Windows Phone 7 is available for download here.
