GoHealth Acquires Connected Benefits

Health insurance technology provider GoHealth has announced the acquisition of Connected Benefits, a supplier of employee benefits management software.

The move expands the vendor’s services into the group benefits market and continues an industry-wide trend of vendor M&A activity. With Connected Benefits, GoHealth will now provide a platform that enables brokers to help employers establish employee benefit levels, access available tax subsidies, and offer voluntary products such as disability, according to the company.

"Employers are facing complex decisions when it comes to health care, so it's the perfect time to deliver a seamless solution," said Clint Jones, CEO of GoHealth, in a statement. "The GoHealth Marketplace helps them [employers] decide between group and individual benefits and identify which plans to offer based on individual employee needs."
