Grange Grabs HP for Enterprisewide Document Automation

Grange Insurance, which partners with independent agents offering auto, home, life and business insurance protection to policyholders in 13 states, has begun implementing HP Exstream to assist with document automation.

The Columbus, Ohio-based insurer will replace its current software with HP Exstream for greater efficiencies in the design, production and delivery of customer-facing documents such as claims correspondence, insurance ID cards, declarations, billing invoices, quote proposals and product contracts, HP says.

“A single solution for the enterprise aligns with an IT strategy to have ‘one solution-per-key function,'” said Michael Fergang, CIO, Grange Insurance. “By selecting HP Exstream as our enterprisewide document automation solution, we will eliminate multiple-point solutions with a single platform to support all of our interactive, batch and real-time document requirements.”

HP Exstream enterprise document automation software is designed to allow insurance carriers to substantially reduce document process costs and improve customer retention by streamlining workflow processes to produce more effective and relevant communications faster—from high-volume bills and statements to personalizing and automating fulfillment of on-demand policies, correspondence, quotes and proposals.

“HP Exstream will allow us to more efficiently create, publish and manage our documents across all our brands and business units,” said Glenn Watson, assistant VP and manager, personal lines IT, Grange Insurance. “Not only will HP Exstream help streamline and automate many of our document processes, it will also offer interactive and real-time capabilities that will allow us to distribute our documents in a manner that’s most convenient for and customized to our policyholders, regardless of current or yet-to-be developed communication platforms.”
