Guy Carpenter & Co., a risk and reinsurance company and member of Marsh & McLennan, has launched its Mutual Company Specialty Practice, which has been built to focus on the needs of mutual insurance companies. According to Guy Carpenter, the practice will consist of a team dedicated to helping mutual company clients protect their capital and grow profitably.
Guy Carpenter says the practice offers clients sources of stable capital, including Guy’s Umbrella and Property Facultative facilities. It also offers Guy’s Regional Accounts Program, which is designed to allow small to medium-sized ceding insurers to purchase reinsurance at competitive terms, conditions and prices.
Guy Carpenter adds that its Mutual Company Specialty Practice can provide clients with the strategic advice they need to reach their full growth and profit potential. The practice delivers advice on profitable underwriting with point-of-sale services, growth by acquisition or affiliation, efficient use of capital/enterprise risk management, and rating agency and regulatory issues. The practice also will provide actuarial analysis, business intelligence, and technology, including predictive analytics.
