IFG Companies has implemented FirstBest’s Underwriting Management System (UMS) for its property and inland marine lines of business, the companies reported.
"Our existing underwriting environment constrained our response times, but with FirstBest UMS now in place, our underwriters are able to access a real-time queue of their accounts," said Raymond Karrenbauer, SVP and CIO of IFG Companies, in a press release. "With a new team of underwriters joining IFG, we seized a timely opportunity to modernize underwriting workflows with the introduction of FirstBest UMS."
FirstBest’s software provides North Carolina-based IFG with a level of visibility and workflow management not previously possible with current systems, the companies claim. The technology establishes a common platform where underwriters are able to increase efficiency by eliminating the constraints of having to navigate multiple systems and sources for data.
