IIABA Honors Caliper Profile Founder

The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA) recently honored Caliper Corporation's Founder and CEO Dr. Herb Greenberg, for his role over a five-decade period in improving the performance of its state associations and member agencies. In particular, Greenberg was noted for his development of the Caliper Profile, a proprietary personality assessment.

The Caliper Profile is used in the insurance industry to identify the potential, motivations, and strengths of applicants and employees, and the insights gained can be used throughout each person's career to strengthen their role with added coaching, training, leadership development and teambuilding programs.

"Our association and its members rely heavily on the Caliper Profile, which Herb Greenberg developed, for hiring, coaching and managing employees. The Caliper Profile is the gold standard in personality assessments," said IIABA President Paul Buse.

Dr. Greenberg was presented with the honor in light of the prestige and credit the company has brought to the insurance industry, and for his numerous accomplishments in his business, civic and personal life. He accepted the award during a gala celebration of Caliper's 50th anniversary.

Since the IIABA and Caliper partnership began in 1973, insurance firms have used the Caliper Profile to help determine the qualities for success in a range of roles, from producers to salespeople, and from customer support staff to top managers.

"Not only do we use Caliper at the national level, here at IIABA, but the relationship has also helped to increase the operational performance of IIABA member firms. To us, the use of the Caliper Profile is considered a critical step in finding and integrating the best staff in insurance agencies," Buse stated.

"The Chairman's Award is a great honor to me and to Caliper, which has the pleasure of working closely with about 1,000 insurance agencies across the United States," said Dr. Greenberg. "We look forward to a continued partnership in developing IIABA members," he added.
