Jackson, CSC Strike Deal for Business Analytics

Insurance technology solution provider CSC announced that Jackson National Life Insurance Co. (Jackson) of Lansing, Mich., has licensed CSC’s Business Analytics software to access and analyze business intelligence information from its multiple financial services systems. As one of the nation’s top individual annuity writers, Jackson will use the software to track key metrics and proactively address rapidly changing market conditions, says the company.

CSC introduced Business Analytics, which leverages SAP BusinessObjects XI solutions, to life insurance and annuity providers in May 2009. Jackson is the first company in this market to license the product, which comes with pre-built visual, interactive dashboards and insurance-specific analytical reports that can be used in all Jackson subsidiaries.

Under the terms of the agreement, the software will be integrated with Jackson’s current systems, including CSC’s CyberLife policy administration system and PerformancePlus, an incentive compensation management system.

Business Analytics is part of CSC’s Insurance Optics family of business intelligence solutions to help insurers gain insight from data and drive change.
