Liberty Mutual, Subaru Partner on Usage-Based Insurance

Liberty Mutual's usage-based insurance product, RightTrack, is now available as in in-vehicle application on Subaru's Starlink connected car platform, the companies announced today.

By linking their car's computer to their smartphone via Clarion technology, customers can send Liberty Mutual relevant driving data including rapid acceleration or hard braking to determine if they are eligible for RightTrack discounts. The app also provides real-time feedback reports and coaching for drivers.

"We are excited to bring this innovative offering to market," said Hamid Mirza, auto product manager, Liberty Mutual Insurance. "This partnership combines Liberty Mutual's extensive experience and reach in usage-based insurance with Subaru and Clarion's cutting-edge connected car technology to bring RightTrack savings to consumers in new ways."
