Liberty Mutual to Expand HQ

Liberty Mutual Group announced plans to spend $300 million to expand its global headquarters in Boston. As a result of the expansion, the company expects to add 600 new full-time jobs.

The insurer already is one of the largest private employers in the city of Boston with more than 2,500 workers at its headquarters.

To support the growth, Liberty Mutual recently acquired the former Salvation Army building, and the Benjamin Franklin Smith building, which are located adjacent to the current Liberty Mutual home office campus.
