Lockton Companies Appoints Lexmark Vet SVP of Software Development

P&C insurer Lockton Companies has named Hugh Khan as senior vice president of software development to bolster its tech business. He will oversee the Lockton subsidiary Mylo, which allows clients to purchase insurance online and over the phone.

"Hugh's nearly 30 years in the industry will bring a unique perspective that will help our teams continue to provide clients the best solutions possible for their businesses," said Scott Martin, chief technology officer of the Affinity group within Lockton, in a press release. “He's well known for his innovative product engineering leadership and deep connections within the Kansas City tech community, both of which are very important to our success."

Khan was most recently vice president of engineering for Lexmark Enterprise Software, which he co-founded under the name Perceptive. Before Lexmark, he served as chief technology officer and partner at Summit Technology Group, a web consulting firm.

"Lockton has the ability, experience, resolve, and above all, the right culture to continue to be a leader in the rapidly evolving insurance space," said Khan. "This opportunity of building a global, state-of-the-art, cloud-based, business-to-consumer platform shows that Kansas City is a great home for technology and Lockton is a strong player in its tech community."
