MetLife Named a Top Company for Diversity

DiversityInc named MetLife Inc. as one of its Top 50 Companies for Diversity, an honor awarded to companies that demonstrate consistent strength in CEO commitment, human capital, corporate and organizational communications and supplier diversity.

DiversityInc has recognized MetLife for its workplace and external diversity efforts, including strong community philanthropy that builds lasting relationships, according to the insurer. In particular, DiversityInc has acknowledged the company’s diverse board of directors, retention level of associates, supplier diversity best practices and community outreach through MetLife Foundation.

A total of 401 companies, up 14% from last year, vied for the honor this year, underscoring the increasing emphasis on diversity management among progressive companies.
