MetLife Unit Taps Virtual Reality for Customer Service

MetLife's joint venture partner in India, PNB Metlife, is taking customer service virtual.

PNB MetLife has launched conVRse, a virtual-reality based customer service platform. Developed at MetLife's Singapore-based innovation lab, LumenLab, conVRse allows customers to have a conversation with a virtual life insurance expert.

Customers are able to connect directly with the expert, nicknamed “Khushi”, and get personalized service using virtual aids to address any questions or policy servicing requirements they have. The service will launch in 10 Indian cities. PNB sales staff will also get virtual reality headsets to give their prospects access to the technology.

"We are delighted to bring this ground breaking technology to our customers and revolutionize the concept of customer service for the 21st century," says Taran Chugh, managing director and CEO of PNB MetLife.
