Mitchell and J.D. Power Release WorkCenter 4.0

Mitchell International Inc., an information and workflow solutions provider to property/casualty insurers, in conjunction with J.D. Power and Associates, has released the latest version of its total loss vehicle evaluation program, WorkCenter Loss Total 4.0.

The companies say the program combines Mitchell’s processing solutions with J.D. Power’s data analysis and pricing capabilities.

"With the addition of vehicle equipment option package data, we believe WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0 is now the industry's most comprehensive vehicle configuration offering, underscoring Mitchell's commitment to vastly improving often hotly contested and opaque claims settlements involving vehicle equipment and option packages,” said Jesse Herrera, SVP, product management and marketing, Mitchell International. “This advancement also further streamlines the total loss valuation process by making the most up-to-date, accurate and trusted vehicle valuation data instantly available to consumers, estimators and insurers."

WorkCenter Loss Total 4.0 is designed to deliver vehicle equipment data like the kind found in a build sheet, but with simplified “window sticker” terminology. The company said the program is a “fully automated single solution” that will aid the estimation process. Since manufacturer standard equipment will display automatically with the Vehicle Identification Number decode, according to Mitchell, cycle times will be reduced because the estimator will only need to choose the vehicle packages and equipment.

The latest version is available for use on the Web, or as a desktop application.
