Mutual Benefit Group, a regional P&C carrier, promoted Scott Ulrich to commercial lines underwriting supervisor. Ulrich will oversee and coordinate the activities of the commercial lines underwriting department, supervise assigned personnel, coordinate workflow in the department, and provide technical and supervisory support to coworkers on complex files or procedural issues.
Ulrich joined the company in 2004 as a commercial lines underwriter trainee, Mutual Benefit Group said. He was promoted to commercial lines underwriter in 2005, and then was promoted to commercial lines senior underwriter in 2008. Ulrich came to Mutual Benefit Group following 17 years in the banking industry. He most recently held a position as market manager for First Commonwealth Bank in Huntingdon, Pa.
Ulrich has earned the Associate in General Insurance, Associate in Underwriting, and Associate in Reinsurance designations through the Insurance Institute of America, Mutual Benefit Group added.
