Nippon Life Benefits, a component of Nippon Life Insurance Co., which provides employee insurance, appointed Toshihiro Nakashima as president and CEO.

Nakashima has spent more than 20 years in the industry, most recently serving as GM of Nippon’s Human Resources Development Office in Tokyo. He also was the CEO of Nissay Deutsche Asset Management in Singapore.

“I am grateful to the team at Nippon Life Benefits for its success of the past few years, and I look forward to building on the momentum,” Nakashima said. “I am committed to helping Nippon Life Benefits continue offering high-quality service, strong provider networks, and flexible plan designs at competitive rates.”

Nakashima succeeds Akira Hosoda, who will rotate to Nissay Asset Management Corp. in Tokyo to become GM of the Entrusted Investment Division in the International Business Department.
