Allstate’s Drivewise Mobile application now features Allstate Rewards, which safe drivers now can use to earn points for deals on merchandise, gift cards and local offers, regardless of whether they have an insurance policy with Allstate.

While most reward programs generally require participants to make a purchase or pay their bill to earn points, consumers need only to drive safely to benefit from Allstate Rewards, Allstate said.

"We continue to drive advances in product and service innovation for all consumers," said Ginger Purgatorio, Allstate’s connected car vice president. "We're providing cutting-edge capabilities to better serve drivers and protect what matters to them most. This is another example of how we are changing the way people think about an insurance company – and at the same time, it encourages safe driving that benefits everyone on the road."

The latest version of the app includes interactive challenges that enable users to earn reward points, such as driving below 80 mph, or avoiding hard braking for three consecutive days, Allstate said. Users then can view their challenge statuses and driving patterns by month.

Drivewise Mobile is available as a free download in the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.
