Octo Telematics, a provider of telematics and data analytics for auto insurance, has entered a partnership with SAS to better leverage the Internet of Things.

Along with the original functions, insurers will now have access to a full set of driving and crash data through Octo’s platforms using SAS tools. Analytics will be available to insurers via interactive dashboards, pre-built scores, smart visualizations and SAS enterprise-level tools suite that can be customized.

"Together, we are able to analyze huge data volumes and generate actionable insight at speed for insurers and customers,” Gianfranco Giannella, Chief Operating Officer at Octo Telematics says.

Jason Mann, VP of IOT at SAS added, “Octo is a pioneer in insurance telematics and their insurance platform is a great example of how applied analytics combine with Iota can make insurance more profitable and personalized.”
