Pacific Life Reshuffles IT Personnel

Pacific Life Insurance Company has promoted two of its own IT staff members to vice president positions, the company announced today.

Darlene Goodwin will take over duties as VP of application services, under Pacific Life’s corporate division. Goodwin’s responsibilities in her new role include; app development, database design as well as business and functional analysis. She arrived at the insurer in 1989 as an investment accounting specialist and was later promoted to assistant VP of Information Technology in 2010.

Pacific Life’s other IT appointment, Bradley Sherrell, joined the company in 1992 as a programmer analyst. For eight years he held the position of assistant VP of the insurer’s technology office. He will now take over as VP, but continue to serve as chief technology officer for Pacific Life’s life insurance division.

The insurer also announced the appointments of Frank Boynton to VP of Operations (retirement solutions division), Donna Burton to VP of human resources-total rewards and Chris Dallas to vice president of Investment Counsel, both in the insurer’s corporate division.
