Seattle —
PEMCO's "We're A Lot Like You. A Little Different." campaign launched in September 2007 and celebrates classic values shared by many Northwest U.S. residents. Winning ads included quirky yet identifiable regional characters such as the "Sandals and Socks Guy," "Blue Tarp Campers" and "Obsessive Compulsive Recycler," among others.
"There's been an outpouring of resoundingly positive feedback tied to the campaign as people relate to the profiles featured in our ads," says PEMCO's VP and chief marketing officer, Rod Brooks. "The goal shared by PEMCO's marketing partners was to produce a campaign that Northwest residents could identify with. The awards are truly an honor that we share with the great people who call this region home."
PEMCO and DNA Brand Mechanics, the agency behind the creative commercials, received the awards based on judges' combined scoring. The competition's judges are top advertising and production professionals as well as past Telly Award winners.
Each year, the Telly Awards honor the best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs. Winners are judged on a high standard of merit.
