Penn National Insurance, a personal auto and homeowners insurance company, is using a Jarus Mobile app for smartphones and mobile devices to give policyholders access to policy information. Jarvis Technologies is a new business and policy administration solutions provider for P&C companies.

Jarus said Customer Center is a set of customizable applications for iPhone, Android and Windows phone, with features such as policy inquiry, online payment, accident help, submit claim and policy documents. Penn National is customizing and branding the app, integrating it with its core backend systems using existing web services. The solution is purpose-built for the insurance industry and supports personal and commercial P&C lines.

Jarus added that Mobile API is a set of standards-based, language-neutral RESTful services. These services facilitate multiple devices, using different languages and technologies to communicate with the carrier backend in a secure manner.
