PIA Names its Agent of the Year

The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) bestowed awards upon three agents during a ceremony on April 2, 2011 in Alexandria, Va.

Mark J. LaLonde, VP of Bailey, Haskell and LaLonde, was named the 2011 PIA National Professional Agent of the Year, says the PIA, adding that he joined the PIA in 1987 and has been involved heavily in government affairs, education and political action.

Babette Roush of Associated Insurance Agencies Inc. was named was named the 2010 PIA National Customer Service Representative of the Year. The award is given annually to an outstanding agency customer service representative who works for a PIA member insurance agency, and has improved agency operations, served clients in a unique or extraordinary way, and engaged in community involvement and activities to advance the betterment of the insurance industry, says PIA. 

Also, the association named Kristen M. Scott the 2011 PIA National Young Insurance Professional of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding achievement by a young insurance professional.
