Washington—Eight more insurance companies have signed on as sponsors of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents’ (PIA) agent branding program, Local Agents Serving Main Street America.

PIA announced that GMAC Insurance Management Corp., Hastings Mutual Insurance Co., Home Mutual Fire Insurance Co., The IMT Group, Iowa Mutual Insurance Co., Mercury Insurance Group, Penn National Insurance and Ramsgate Managing Insurance are the latest carriers to become part of the PIA branding program.

“PIA is pleased to welcome the newest group of distinguished insurance companies as participants in the PIA Branding Program,” says PIA National Executive Vice President and chief executive officer Len Brevik. “By signing on as sponsors of the PIA branding program, carriers demonstrate their commitment to the success of the independent agency distribution system and the continuing prosperity of their professional agent sales force.”

PIA’s Local Agents Serving Main Street America branding program is an advertising and promotional campaign available at no additional cost to all PIA member agencies throughout the nation. Currently, the program consists of twenty-one print advertisements with 251 variations that PIA members can run in their local publications.

The program was planned to reinforce the position of PIA members in their local insurance marketplace as local agents who offer personal support and service, as well as a choice of policies from many companies to better fit their customers’ needs.

“The PIA branding program was designed in a way that everybody wins,” Brevik says. “PIA members win by having a high-quality branding program they can use to market their agencies. Carriers win by being able to support the advertising initiatives of their PIA appointed agents. And everybody wins because nobody has to pay anything extra to use the program.”
