Pitney Bowes Partners With DocuConsulting

This is an updated version of a earlier report and contains corrections regarding the estimated time of introduction of Pitney Bowes' conversion utility.

Pitney Bowes Inc. is partnering with DocuConsulting, a consulting firm for document publishing and automation.

The two companies will provide the document offer applications that simplify policy creation and delivery. Pitney Bowes offers data management, analytics and customer engagement to drive interaction and deepen relationships. The company’s software enables digital delivery to reduce costs and helps insurers communicate with policyholders. Pitney Bowes can use DocuConsulting’s experience in implementing policy production, correspondence, statements and claims documents onto modern platforms.

Pitney Bowes has released “Fast Path to Engagement,” a program designed to enable insurers to modernize their customer communication capabilities by moving off legacy systems with a step-by-step approach. Through this program, a new conversion utility, which will be introduced by the end of the year, will extract legacy data, forms and content, transforming it into a format that can be leveraged by Pitney Bowes’ EngageOne Communication Suite. DocuConsulting will help clients migrate off old or unsupported document generation solutions. The program will address other legacy systems, and migration utility tools will extend to other solutions.

“[DocuConsulting] brings expertise and insight that will greatly benefit our insurance clients at a time when legacy systems have become a critical business issue,” said Greg Van den Heuvel, senior VP, customer engagement solutions. “This is just the kind of partnership that addresses this issue by delivering enhanced document capabilities and significant operational efficiencies while minimizing risk.”
