Prime Holdings Selects Jarus Mobile Apps

Prime Holdings Insurance Services Inc., an excess and surplus lines holding company, has selected the Jarus Mobile App to communicate with policyholders and agents and offer customer and agent self-service opportunities through smartphones and tablets.

The Jarus Mobile App includes a set of customizable native applications for iPhone, Android and Windows phones, including policy inquiry, online payment, accident help, first notice of loss and policy documents, Jarus said.  Prime Holdings is customizing and branding the mobile application for three of its subsidiary companies, Prime Insurance Co. (Prime), Evolution Insurance Brokers (EIB) and Claims Direct Access (CDA).

“Our initial rollout will concentrate on the FNOL functionality,” said J.D. Brown, CIO of Prime Holdings Insurance Services. “Leveraging Jarus’s Mobile Solution architecture, we will be able to rapidly release additional functionality with minimal programming effort. Jarus’s flexible back-end integration methodology complimented our existing Web Services initiative for our core policy and claims systems, allowing for a quick and easy deployment.”

Jarus described the mobile applications as purpose-built to suit the specific needs of the insurance industry. Jarus Mobile App leverages Jarus Mobile API, a set of standards based, language neutral RESTful services that facilitate the use of multiple devices, using different languages and technologies to communicate securely with the carrier backend.
