Principal Financial Updates Mobile App

Principal Financial Group, an employee benefits company, has updated its mobile application, Principal Mobile. Members now can submit vision claims instantly and check group disability and group term life insurance policies.

Principal says the mobile app offers claim history, ID card image, a summary of discounts for vision insurance participants, information on employee assistance programs for both short-term and long-term disability insurance participants, and a summary of benefits on travel assistance for group term life and voluntary term life participants. The app also provides information on dental insurance.

Principal says Principal Mobile was launched in July 2011 to allow retirement plan participants to track savings progress, check 401(k) balances and view personalized rate of return. It also provides access to multiple retirement plan types, including defined contribution, defined benefit, ESOP and nonqualified.
