QBE Announces Organizational Change

New York — QBE, a division of Australia's QBE Insurance Group Ltd, and one of the top 25 insurers and reinsurers worldwide, announced that Pete McPartland, COO of QBE Regional Insurance, has left QBE to pursue other interests.

"I would like to thank Pete for his dedication, leadership and many successes during his tenure," says Peter Christen, CEO of QBE Regional in Sun Prairie, Wis.

McPartland joined QBE subsidiary brand General Casualty in 1994, and over the years managed underwriting, field and insurance operations. He served as president and CEO of General Casualty since 2003 until becoming COO of QBE Regional last year.

In a letter to agents, Christen added that the company's commitment to its independent agents has never been stronger, and that the company is currently expanding its product portfolio, giving agents more cross-sell opportunities between its business units and growing its agricultural capabilities.
