One day after making headlines for its IPO and subsequent soaring of stock prices, Verisk Analytics today announced that Perry Rotella has joined the company as SVP and CIO. He will be responsible for the development and execution of IT initiatives at Verisk in support of the company's business operations.
Prior to joining Verisk, Rotella was SVP and CIO of Moody's Corp., where he served as the first CIO for the corporation and was responsible for all aspects of IT strategy, support and global operations.
"With IT management experience spanning more than 23 years in diverse industries, Perry is an acknowledged thought leader in information technology," said Verisk Analytics chairman, president, and CEO Frank Coyne. "He brings a wealth of professional IT accomplishments to our organization."
Rotella previously served as CIO for AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group, and as AIG's global CTO, responsible for setting global technology direction and leveraging technology to support new sources of revenue.
Additionally, he currently serves as the president of the New York chapter of the Society for Information Management, an association of senior IT executives and prominent academicians and consultants who come together to share and enhance their intellectual capital for the benefit of members and their organizations.
