SAP AG Launches "Build and Sell" Program

SAP AG has introduced a "Build and Sell" program enabling SAP channel partners to build, market and sell analytic applications using technology from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio.

According to SAP, channel partners are offered the means to extend their reach through the program by marketing and selling their intellectual property to others with similar needs throughout the SAP ecosystem. This new approach is designed to allow customers to identify and quickly deploy analytic applications that are custom-tailored to their industry needs. While being affordable, it offers fast time-to-value and keeps total cost of ownership low.

With the new go-to-market opportunities and revenue sources, partners can discover a larger market for solutions they have developed previously for their own customers, says SAP. In addition, by offering those predefined or preconfigured industry or line-of-business analytic applications via the EcoHub site and the SAP Channel Partner Portal, other resellers looking to expand to new markets can access prebuilt vertical and horizontal applications that they can sell.

SAP says its partners can use the BusinessObjects solution portfolio to build predefined or preconfigured solutions. The program also encourages both SAP services partners and SAP software solution and technology partners to build and offer solutions via the infrastructure.
