SECURA Insurance Companies will retire its legacy agent distribution technology in favor of Duck Creek’s modernized portals, the companies announced Wednesday.

SECURA, a seller of home, auto, business and farm coverage, will utilize its new suite comprised of Duck Creek AgencyPortal, AgencyConnect, and Turnstile to enhance engagement with more than 475 independent agents at its disposal. The regional insurer currently operates in 12 states.

“Our focus remains making it easy for agencies and policyholders to do business with us,” said Todd Thiel, vice president, information technology, at SECURA, in a statement. “Transitioning to one platform to manage our distribution channels and interactions with key stakeholders will help us achieve that objective.”

Once deployed, DuckCreek’s software will allow the Appleton, Wisconsin-based outfit to reduce operating and maintenance costs, improve agents’ user experience, and expand portal adoption, leading to increased business volume, the companies said.
